All of humanity lives in a miry pit. The Hindu is told to be patient, bear the squalor and wait for a better reincarnation. Buddha comes along and tells you to live by the five rules and be happy in the mud. Mohammed comes along and tells you to try to do your utmost and to attempt the impossible by climbing to paradise. Jewry is told to obey the ten commandments and hope for God's forgiveness. But Christ comes along, descends into the pit and helps you personally to get out!
