Your Word is a light for my way through life and a lamp for my path through this world. Every Scripture has been inspired by God and is profitable for education, for conviction, for correction, for raising somebody in righteousness; so that a man or woman of God may be complete, rendered fit for every good work.

Why study biblical or Koinè Greek (N.T.-Greek)?

The most important reason is to gain a deeper and better understanding of the Word of God. Our Christian faith is based on the Bible, the Word of God. The better we understand the living Word of God, the better this word can speak to us and guide us in our lives.

Course Content

The course is made up of 42 separate lessons, every seventh lesson is a repetition. You are taught a vocabulary of about 2000 words, from the most frequent to the less common. This is about half of all the words of the New Testament. Right from the start you are in the Greek N.T. and you learn Greek phrases (later they become complete sentences) that were written about 2000 years ago. In this way you assimilate the Greek of the N.T. and you make it your own. Moreover, thanks to modern computer programs, the given sentences that you learn are ordered in such a way that you become familiar with a lot of grammar and in this fashion you learn the material in almost a playful way. (This course does not contain any doctrinal information typical of any denomination; it is entirely based on the grammar of the N.T.).

Make-up of the studies

All lessons have been made up in the following way:

  1. Introduction
  2. Explanations by way of examples
  3. Homework
  4. New words. In every lesson new words are learned
  5. The background of the New Testament. Students are given ample information about the life and times of the New Testament, in this way learning the circumstances of N.T. events.

However most attention will go to learning grammar.

Fear for God is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge.

The beginning of wisdom is fear for God and knowledge of holy matters is good understanding, as also eschewing evil is good sense.

Exalt Wisdom and she will lift you up!
